Painting Services in Uxbridge, ON

Proper prep. Clean lines.

Exterior painting is a regular job for us in Uxbridge, and the village's heritage homes are a big part of the reason. Old wood trim and siding need careful prep before any new coat will last. Our painting services in Uxbridge cover houses near Brock Street and out in the township, inside and out. Pedro puts the time into scraping and priming, because that's where a paint job holds or fails.

Fresh Coats for Heritage Trim and Siding

The heritage homes in the village centre have usually been repainted many times over, and every layer is one more that can lift. When the paint starts to let go, we scrape back to a firm edge, sand the transitions so they don't show through the new coat, and spot-prime any bare wood. Skipping that work is why some exterior painting starts peeling within a couple of seasons.

Out in the township, exposure does more damage than age. A house on a big lot with no tree cover gets sun on its south and west walls for most of the day, and that breaks paint down faster than on a sheltered street in town. We give those walls extra attention during prep and choose a quality exterior paint that suits the siding material. Since the south and west trim usually needs repainting before the north side, it can make sense to do those walls first and the rest later.

Inside, the work is quieter. We repaint rooms, ceilings, trim and doors, and kitchen cabinets when a kitchen needs a lift without a renovation. Interior painting in Ontario usually runs $300 to $800 per room, depending on size, ceiling height and prep. Every painting job is priced as a project instead of by the hour, so you know the cost before we open a can.

Pedro handles interior and exterior painting. For how he approaches painting services in general, see our interior & exterior painting page.

How painting services works

  1. Pick your colours

If you're stuck between a few colours, we can help you narrow it down. If you've already picked, just send us the brand and colour code.

  2. Surface prep

We fill holes, sand rough spots, clean the surfaces, tape the edges and prime wherever it's needed. It takes time, and it's where most of the difference comes from.

  3. Painting

Coats go on evenly, one section at a time. Inside, we usually do two coats on the walls and two on the trim.

  4. Touch-ups and cleanup

The tape comes off carefully, we touch up anything that needs it, and the room is left clean with the furniture back where it was.

Painting Services cost in Uxbridge

In Ontario, interior painting usually costs $300 to $800 per room. Size, ceiling height and the amount of prep all move the number.

Painting the full interior of a 3-bedroom home generally comes to $2,000 to $5,000.

Exterior painting depends on how big the house is and what shape the surfaces are in. For a typical single-family home, expect $2,500 to $6,000. We price painting by the project, not by the hour.

Every job gets a free written estimate first, so the price is settled before work starts.

Painting Services in Uxbridge: FAQ

Do you offer painting services in Uxbridge?

Yes. Uxbridge is part of our Durham Region service area, and we work there from our base in Bowmanville. Call or text (289) 928-5689, or request a free estimate online.

How do you tell whether siding needs a full repaint or just touch-ups?

We look at how the paint is failing. Faded, chalky paint that's still stuck tight can often be cleaned and recoated in sections. Peeling, cracking or bare wood across a whole wall means the old coat has let go, and spot repairs won't blend or last. We'll walk around the house with you and point out which walls fall into which group.

Will you paint a shed or other outbuilding along with the house?

Yes. Plenty of Uxbridge properties have a shed, garage or other outbuilding that's due at the same time as the house, and doing them together saves a second setup. Weathered wood on an outbuilding needs the same prep the house gets. We list each building separately on the estimate so you can decide what to do now and what can wait.
