1. Agreement to Terms
By engaging the services of Handy Man And Home Repairs ("we," "us," "our"), you agree to these Terms of Service. These terms govern the provision of handyman and home repair services in Ontario, Canada.
2. Services
We provide handyman and home repair services including but not limited to general repairs, painting, deck work, caulking, cleaning, and renovation services. The scope of each project is defined in a written estimate provided prior to the commencement of work.
3. Estimates and Pricing
All work begins with a written estimate. Estimates are provided free of charge. Once you accept an estimate, the price is fixed unless unforeseen conditions require changes to the scope of work. Any scope changes will be discussed and agreed upon before additional work proceeds. Material costs are passed through at our cost with no markup.
4. Payment
Payment is due upon completion of work unless otherwise agreed in writing. We accept cash, e-transfer, and cheque. For larger projects, a deposit may be required prior to commencement of work.
5. Cancellation
You may cancel or reschedule a scheduled appointment with at least 24 hours notice. Cancellations with less than 24 hours notice may be subject to a cancellation fee to cover our scheduling costs.
6. Warranty
We stand behind our workmanship. If a defect in our work appears within a reasonable period after completion, we will return to address it at no additional cost. This warranty does not cover damage caused by misuse, neglect, or conditions beyond our control.
7. Liability
Our liability for any claim arising from our services is limited to the amount paid for the specific service giving rise to the claim. We are not liable for indirect, consequential, or incidental damages. We carry appropriate liability insurance.
8. Governing Law
These Terms of Service are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein. Any disputes arising from these terms shall be resolved in the courts of Ontario.
