Painting Services in Oshawa, ON

Proper prep. Clean lines.

Painting and drywall repair are the two requests Oshawa sends us most, which we put down to the city's mix of older houses and rental turnovers. We provide painting services in Oshawa for single rooms, whole floors and exteriors, and the time goes into prep: filling, sanding, priming where it's needed, and careful taping. You get a per-project price in writing before we start, not an hourly guess.

Turnover Repaints and Layered Old Trim in Oshawa

Rental turnovers drive a lot of the painting here. When a unit changes hands, the walls show it: scuffed hallways, patched anchor holes, a bedroom the last tenant painted dark purple. A neutral repaint goes faster when the drywall is fixed in the same visit and the patches get primed, so they don't show through the new coat as dull spots. Interior rooms generally run $300 to $800 each, depending on size, ceiling height and prep.

Around Simcoe Street, older semi-detached homes sit beside places that have already been redone, and you can see the difference in the surfaces. Original trim may carry many layers of paint, and if the top layer is glossy oil, new latex won't grip without a scuff-sand and a bonding primer. We check what's there before choosing the primer. Skipping that step is why some repaints peel within a year.

North of Taunton, the newer houses have a different issue. Builder-grade flat paint marks easily and doesn't stand up to scrubbing, so it's common to redo kitchens, halls and kids' rooms in a more washable finish within a few years of moving in. Interior painting for a full 3-bedroom home generally comes to $2,000 to $5,000, and if you're living there, we can work one room at a time.

How painting services works

  1. Pick your colours

If you're stuck between a few colours, we can help you narrow it down. If you've already picked, just send us the brand and colour code.

  2. Surface prep

We fill holes, sand rough spots, clean the surfaces, tape the edges and prime wherever it's needed. It takes time, and it's where most of the difference comes from.

  3. Painting

Coats go on evenly, one section at a time. Inside, we usually do two coats on the walls and two on the trim.

  4. Touch-ups and cleanup

The tape comes off carefully, we touch up anything that needs it, and the room is left clean with the furniture back where it was.

Painting Services in Oshawa: FAQ

Do you offer painting services in Oshawa?

Yes. Oshawa is part of our Durham Region service area, and we work there from our base in Bowmanville. Call or text (289) 928-5689, or request a free estimate online.

Can you repaint an Oshawa rental between tenants without stretching the vacancy?

Usually, yes. A single bedroom takes about a day including prep, two coats and cleanup, so the timeline mostly depends on how many rooms there are and how much patching they need. Give us the move-out and move-in dates when you ask for the estimate, and we'll tell you honestly whether the schedule works. Patching goes first so it's dry before paint.

My older Oshawa house has wood siding. Is painting it worth it, or should I replace it?

If most of the boards are sound, paint is usually the cheaper route. The work is in the prep: scraping loose paint, sanding edges, swapping out any rotted pieces and priming bare wood. For a typical single-family home, exterior painting runs $2,500 to $6,000 depending on size and condition. If many boards are soft, we'll say so before you spend money on paint.
