Home Renovations in Lindsay, ON
Room by room, done right.
Older downtown houses in Lindsay often need a bathroom update, and many mid-century bungalows still have kitchens laid out for a different era. Both are good places to start with home renovations in Lindsay, and we also finish basements in newer homes. With 16 years of construction experience, Pedro can manage every stage of the work, including demo, framing, drywall and finishing, and he sees the job through to the punch list.
Bathroom and Kitchen Updates in Older Lindsay Homes
A bathroom in a century home near the Scugog River usually hides a few surprises. Floors may slope, the walls are lath and plaster, and the subfloor around an old tub has often seen water over the decades. We open things up carefully, deal with what we find, and check with you before the scope changes. A bathroom renovation in Ontario typically runs $5,000 to $15,000, depending on how far it goes.
Mid-century bungalow kitchens tend to be compact and closed off, but not every update needs walls to move. New counters, painted cabinets, a backsplash and updated fixtures change the room a lot, and that kind of kitchen update usually costs $5,000 to $12,000. If you do want a new layout, a full kitchen renovation starts around $15,000. Opening a bungalow kitchen to the dining room is possible in some houses, but it depends on which walls carry load, and that gets checked before anything comes down.
Newer subdivision homes sometimes come with an unfinished basement, which can be framed, drywalled, floored and painted into usable space. You get the estimate in writing, phase by phase, the work area stays closed off with the dust kept down, and you hear from us every day until it's done.

Home Renovations in Lindsay: FAQ
Do you offer home renovations in Lindsay?
Yes. Lindsay is part of our Kawartha Lakes service area, and we work there from our base in Bowmanville. Call or text (289) 928-5689, or request a free estimate online.
Which comes first in a kitchen update, the counters or the cabinets?
The cabinets, as a rule. If they're being painted or getting new hardware, that's done before the new counters go on, so nobody is working around wet paint and nothing gets scratched afterward. The backsplash goes in after the counters, since it sits on them. We lay out the order in the estimate so you know what happens when.
Does plaster make a renovation harder than drywall?
A little. Plaster is heavier and dustier to remove, so we take more care closing off the work area. Old plaster walls also tend to wave and bow, which matters when new cabinets, tile or drywall have to meet them, so we shim and level as we go. Where plaster is still sound, we can patch it and keep it rather than tearing it out.
