Power Washing in Courtice, ON

Years of grime, gone.

Green streaks along the shady side of a fence and black mildew on patio stones creep in slowly, then one day the whole backyard looks tired. Our power washing in Courtice covers fences, patios, decks, siding and driveways. Wood and vinyl get a much lower setting than concrete, so nothing gets chewed up. Concrete and pavers can take far more, and we turn it up for those.

Long Fence Lines and Patios in Courtice Backyards

Wood fences are the job people underestimate, and with the big lots in Courtice there's usually a lot of fence. Algae and mildew grow on the side that stays damp, and cedar or pressure-treated boards can't take much pressure before the surface fuzzes up. Fences get a low-pressure wash and a solution to loosen the growth, working with the grain. It's also the right prep if you plan to stain the fence afterward, since stain needs clean, dry wood.

Patios and walkways can take more pressure. Moss and weeds root in the joints between pavers, and black mildew builds up wherever the patio stays shaded. We wash the stones in overlapping passes so the surface comes out even. Washing can flush out some of the joint sand between pavers, so it may need topping up afterward, and we'll point it out if it does.

If the deck is due for stain this year, wash it the same day as the fence and both will be ready together. A full deck wash runs $150 to $300, and siding cleaning on a typical home is $250 to $500. Ask for a package price on the back of the property. A follow-up visit for the front of the house is easy to fit in, since we're close by.

Pedro handles power washing for driveways, decks, siding and patios. For how he approaches power washing in general, see our power washing page.

How power washing works

  1. Assess the surface

Each material needs a different pressure. Concrete can take a lot; wood siding can't. We set the pressure for each surface.

  2. Pre-treat if needed

Heavy mildew, algae or oil stains get a cleaning solution first, to loosen the buildup before we wash.

  3. Wash

We work across the surface in steady, overlapping passes at a consistent distance, so you don't get zebra stripes. Plants and landscaping are protected from overspray.

  4. Rinse and inspect

A final rinse, then a look over everything to make sure it's clean and nothing got damaged.

Power Washing in Courtice: FAQ

Do you offer power washing in Courtice?

Yes. Courtice is part of our Durham Region service area, and we work there from our base in Bowmanville. Call or text (289) 928-5689, or request a free estimate online.

What happens to the garden beds along the fence while you're washing?

We protect them. Beds get a soaking before we start and a rinse after, so any cleaning solution that drifts over is diluted, and we keep the spray angled away from plants. Delicate plants or new seedlings right against the fence can be covered for the job. Point out anything you're especially protective of when we arrive.

My interlock patio has weeds in every joint. Will washing fix that?

Washing pulls out most of the weeds and moss along with the dirt, and the patio looks much better right away. It won't stop them coming back, because seeds keep landing in the joints. Refilling the joints with polymeric sand after washing makes it harder for weeds to take hold. Once the joints are clean, we'll tell you if yours need it.
